The Head House and Shambles create one of Philadelphia’s most distinctive open-air spaces — a covered colonial-era market in the middle of historic Society Hill. Its brick arches and historic firehouse make a memorable backdrop for gatherings of all kinds, from intimate ceremonies to community markets. Renting the Shambles also helps support the New Market & Head House Conservancy’s work to preserve and restore buildings dating back to 1745.
